Gill Johnson

PRINCIPAL DIRECTOR

Gill is the principal director of GKJ which was founded in 2004.
Gill has an extensive background in both residential lettings and sales.
This experience includes working at branch level and progressing to managing branches as regional director followed by national lettings consultant for a large corporate agency. Gill is trained as a trainer and currently runs courses for many clients nationally as well as taking some of our in-house courses.

Gill was the lead writer for the majority of the ARLA lettings Technical Award learning modules as well as some of the Certificate level learning materials.

Dave Lane

Dave Lane

DIRECTOR

Dave has a wide experience both in and outside of the residential property field. He originally worked in secondary and tertiary education and then spent spells in the publishing and printing industries. Following on from this he set up and ran a company providing Inventories for residential letting agents. Dave has experience of various aspects of the lettings industry especially with property management and client accounts as well as running property management companies. He has trained extensively on aspects of residential sales and lettings.

Dave is a founder member of the Association of Inventory Providers (APIP) and spent two years as a freelance adjudicator for The Dispute Service.

Claudia Brown

Claudia spent twelve years working her way up through the ranks of lettings agency starting off as a Negotiator and culminating in her setting up a lettings department for a prestigious central London agency. In 2008 she set up her own company providing agents with a comprehensive legal administration service – allowing them to outsource their legal work to a specialist admin team. Claudia currently runs courses across the country for a variety of national lettings agencies and consistently receives excellent feedback.

Penny is an experienced trainer who combines sound practical advice based on her background as a solicitor and letting agent together with a relaxed and informal style to ensure the delegates get the most out of the day.

Penny is an experienced trainer who combines sound practical advice based on her background as a solicitor and letting agent together with a relaxed and informal style to ensure the delegates get the most out of the day.

Penny is a Solicitor Advocate who, following a spell as a Prosecutor, worked in a busy Landlord and Tenant Department for a large law firm. In addition she set up and ran her own lettings agency for some 10 years before concentrating on comprehensive training for Letting Agents. Penny has been a trainer for the NAEA and ARLA for some 12 years.

In 2008 Penny was appointed HM Coroner for West Sussex.

Shula Rich

Shula Rich

TRAINER

Shula Rich presently advises Lease holders and Managing Agents on Right to Manage and Block Management issues. She drafted the National Contract for Block Management for ARLA, and has been thanked in Parliament for reforms to Leasehold Law.

She has worked on a voluntary basis for more than twenty years advising leaseholders with block management issues, as well as professionally with managing agents. Shula has a strong academic background as well as having been involved with the drafting of leasehold law since 1996.
