Repossession & Court Procedure Course

This course is aimed at partners, directors and more senior members of staff who may become involved in obtaining possession or more unusual situations like squatters or debt recovery

The day is very practical allowing delegates to work through real court documents and working through real case studies using these documents

Agenda

The course is designed to enable you to:

  1. Understand the requirements of gaining possession of a property by detailing the procedures and explaining the legal documents.
  2. Identifying the potential problem areas of :-
    - Incorrect Notices issues
    - Incorrectly completed documentation
    - Incorrect service of documentation

  3. Know what is expected of you when you attend Court.
  4. Know how to issue a claim in the Small Claims Court.
  5. Have a clearer understanding of some of the problem areas

Penny is an experienced trainer who combines sound practical advice based on her background as a solicitor and letting agent together with a relaxed and informal style to ensure the delegates get the most out of the day.

Penny is a Solicitor Advocate who, following a spell as a Prosecutor, worked in a busy Landlord and Tenant Department for a large law firm.  In addition she set up and ran her own Lettings Agency for some 10 years before selling it on and concentrating on providing comprehensive training for Letting Agents throughout the Country. Penny has been a trainer for the NAEA and ARLA for some 12 years.

Penny has worked for the Home Office developing Anti Social Behaviour Policy and joined their Task Force to promote the new ASB Legislation amongst both the Private Sector and Social Housing to bring about much needed respite for the Community.

In 2008 Penny was appointed H M Coroner for West Sussex
