PROPERTY MANAGEMENT

This course is aimed at staff that work with, or oversee others who are dealing with property management on a day to day basis. The day will focus on practical day to day aspects of property management and the importance of the contracts between the parties.
The day will cover the following topics:
● Obligations for the agent and the landlord
● Tenants rights and obligations
● Contractors – qualifications and insurances, landlords preferred contractor
● Contractual obligations for contractors
● Dealing with repairs
● Access and property visits
● Protection from Eviction Act 1977 – Protection from Harassment Act 1997
● Landlord repairing obligations and landlord breaches
● Tenant introducing an occupier
● HHSRS – Housing Act 2004
● HMO property – non-licenced, licenced, selective licence
● Early surrender
● Noise Pollution problems and the Environmental Protection Act 1990
